Woman Named ‘Miracle’ Accused of Beating Boyfriend With Christmas Tree

A 20-year-old Florida woman, Miracle Rivera, was arrested on Christmas Day after allegedly assaulting her 24-year-old boyfriend with a Christmas tree during an argument in their St. Petersburg home.

The altercation began in their bedroom, prompting the boyfriend to retreat to the living room couch. Rivera followed, grabbing the Christmas tree and repeatedly striking him.

“While the victim was lying on the couch, the defendant picked up a Christmas tree and began to strike the victim with it repeatedly,” the affidavit states.

According to the Smoking Gun, the boyfriend sustained minor scratches on his upper body and arms.

There is no evidence suggesting that drugs or alcohol played a role in the holiday dispute, although the specific cause of the altercation has been redacted from the affidavit.

Rivera was taken into custody on domestic battery charges, released from jail on Christmas Day, and is now prohibited from contacting her boyfriend.
