January 1: Florida Man Attack McDonald’s Employee Over Not Getting Straw
A St. Petersburg resident found himself in a jail cell on New Year’s Day following an incident in which he allegedly attacked a McDonald’s employee over a straw.
Yasmine James was on duty behind the counter at the McDonald’s located on 34th Street South when the incident unfolded, involving 41-year-old Daniel Taylor.
According to the St. Petersburg Police Department, Taylor forcefully grabbed James and pulled her onto the counter. In response, James defended herself by delivering a punch to Taylor’s face as he maintained a grip on her shirt’s collar.
