California deer statue vandal revealed as amorous buck
A California cabin owner, Dolores Eastman Runte, recently encountered an unusual situation when she discovered her deer statue had been damaged.
Upon returning to her Camp Nelson cabin, she observed that the statue’s legs were broken. In an attempt to unveil the culprit, she reviewed the footage captured by her Ring security camera.
To her surprise, the footage revealed an amorous male deer approaching the statue, typically utilized for crossbow practice, and attempting to engage in a romantic encounter with it.
This unexpected act caused damage to the statue. Intriguingly, a week later, another deer, possibly the same one, returned for a second tryst with the statue, resulting in both the live deer and the faux-deer tumbling to the ground in an unusual spectacle.
