Guy Fieri was mistaken for bartender at Sylvester Stallone’s house
In a humorous case of mistaken identity, Food Network star Guy Fieri was once confused for catering staff at Sylvester Stallone’s home. The incident, which took place in 2020, was recounted by Fieri during an appearance on In Depth with Graham Bensinger this week.
Known for his spiky hair and laid-back style, Fieri blended into the casual atmosphere at Stallone’s cigar room, wearing his signature denim jacket. However, his attire led to an amusing mix-up. “I’m looking around and this lady comes in and goes, ‘Lose the jacket, get going,’” Fieri said. She believed he was a bartender.
Unaware that she had just mistaken the “Mayor of Flavortown” for a staffer, the woman quickly realized her error and was embarrassed. But it was all in good fun. “We had a great laugh,” Fieri shared.
While Fieri wasn’t actually there to serve drinks, he was involved in the day’s culinary activities. Stallone had invited him to the event, planning to serve sandwiches that were ordered for the occasion. True to form, the celebrity chef offered to make the food instead, putting his own spin on the meal.
The day was memorable for another reason as well. Fieri got the chance to meet iconic actor Al Pacino, introduced by Stallone. “And I’m not a starstruck person, except for…,” Fieri admitted, acknowledging Pacino’s legendary status. “He’s history-making… He’s just a different level.”
Fieri, known for his down-to-earth demeanor, declared the Scarface star the “nicest guy in the world.” The event became a cherished memory for Fieri, blending both humor and admiration for Hollywood royalty.
